Instructions
Step 1: Prepare and mix epoxy resin as per brand instructions.
Step 2: Pour a thin layer of clear resin into the silicone mold.
Do not fill the mold more than half-way through as we will be pouring another layer later on.
Step 3: Sprinkle a small amount of cellophane flakes onto the uncured layer of resin and distribute it evenly onto the surface.
Step 4: Wait for the resin to harden before proceeding to the next step.
The wait time is approximately 24 hours.
Step 5: Prepare and mix resin as per brand instructions.
Step 6: Divide the clear resin into 2 mixing cups.
Step 7: To one mixing cup add lemon alcohol ink and white mica pigment powder.
Step 8: To the other mixing cup add mango alcohol ink.
Step 9: Mix each cup well making sure to evenly distribute the pigment into the resin.
Step 10: Pour a small amount of the darker shade of resin mixture at the outer edges of the sun.
Step 11: Pour the lighter shade of clear resin mixture into the middle section of the sun.
Step 12: If needed, pour additional resin as needed to fill the mold up to the top.
Step 13: Wait for the resin to fully cure.
Step 14: Once the resin has finished curing, remove the resin from the silicone mold.
Step 15: Use black acrylic paint to paint on the detail.
Step 16: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 17: Clean off the excess paint using rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball.
Step 18: Stick the magnet to the back of the sun charm.
Your sun magnet is now complete!
