Basically there are 3 parts involved to create a resin shaker. You first need to create the shaker base. You then place the embellishments into the shaker base and finally seal the shaker. If you want to make a liquid shaker, there is an extra step, where you will need to drill a hole and fill the shaker with liquid shaker oil. Keep reading for step by step instructions and a video tutorial.
For this project you will need the following craft supplies:
Step 1: Measure and mix epoxy resin as per brand instructions.
Step 2: To the resin add iridescent white cellophane flake glitter.
Step 3: To the resin add iridescent white fine glitter.
Step 4: To the resin add a small amount of holographic silver fine glitter.
Step 5: Mix the resin well.
Step 6: Pour the glittery resin mixture into the snowflake shaker silicone mold. Do not fill the mold all the way at this stage - only up to 80% full.
Step 7: To the remaining resin mixture add a small amount of light blue mica pigment powder. Mix well.
Step 8: Pour the light blue resin mixture into the snowflake shaker silicone mold, filling the mold all the way.
Step 9: To the resin in the snowflake shaker mold, add iridescent white snowflake confetti. Start by placing the confetti onto the resin.
Step 10: Using a silicone tool or a wooden toothpick, embed the confetti into the resin by gently pushing them down.
Step 11: To the remaining resin add sky blue alcohol ink and an additional small amount of the light blue mica pigment powder. Mix well.
Step 12: Pour the blue resin mixture into the tiny snowflakes mold.
Step 13: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 14: Once the resin has fully cured, remove the resin from the silicone molds.
Step 15: Paint the detail using white acrylic paint.
Step 16: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 17: Clean off the excess paint. There are two method on how to do this:
Method 1: Use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol/surgical spirit and wipe the excess paint off, or
Method 2: Submerge the resin pieces into a bowl of water and using your fingertip gently rub off the excess paint. (this is the method I opted for this time - watch the video for a demo) Make sure to dry off the pieces well before proceeding to the next step.
Step 18: Fill the shaker with the shaker inserts you made along with any other embellishments that you would like to add.
Note: if you are not using an acrylic shaker lid and making your own shaker lid using transparent film, prepare the transparent film now before proceeding to the next step.
Step 19: Add a small amount of resin to the edge of the shaker and place the shaker lid.
Note: To speed up the process, you can use UV resin (as shown in the video), but epoxy resin works too.
Step 20: Cure the UV resin using a UV lamp or wait for the epoxy resin to cure.
If you want to make a dry shaker, your project is complete. If you want to create a liquid shaker, continue to the next steps.

Step 6: Pour the clear glittery resin mixture first. Add small amounts into the mold as shown in the video. You can use your mixing stick to have better control on the amount poured into the mold.
Step 7: Fill the rest of the snowflakes using the blue resin mixture.
Step 8: Wait for the resin to fully cure.
Step 9: Demold the snowflakes from the silicone mold.
Step 10: Paint the detail using a thin paintbrush and white acrylic paint.
Step 11: Wait for the paint to fully dry.
Step 12: Clean off the excess paint using rubbing alcohol or surgical spirit.

A second final layer will be poured later on. At this stage you only need a thin layer to embed the embellishments into.
Step 3: Add the embellishments: embed the pearl stars and gold stars. Sprinkle a tiny amount of holographic gold glitter.
Step 4: Wait for the resin to harden.
Step 5: Prepare and mix resin.
Step 6: Divide resin into 3 mixing cups.
Step 7: To one of the cups add yellow resin pigment, gold pigment and yellow alcohol ink.
Step 8: To another cup add yellow alcohol ink, white alcohol ink and white cellophane glitter flakes.
Step 9: To the last remaining cup add blue alcohol ink, iridescent blue glitter and white cellophane glitter flakes.
Step 10: Mix each cup well making sure that the pigment is evenly and thoroughly distributed.
Step 11: Pour the resin mixtures one by one in different sections of the mold. See video for a demo.
Step 12: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 13: When the resin has fully cured, remove the moons from the silicone molds.
Step 14: Using black acrylic paint and a paintbrush, paint the engraved details of the moon.
Step 15: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 16: Clean off the excess paint. You can do so by using a soft non-abrasive cloth and some rubbing alcohol/surgical spirit/water.
The moons are now complete. You can use them as charms, magnets, wall or glass decorations among various other options.

These cute little creations are made using specialty molds that allow you to create a resin bezel, the center is then filled with glitter, charms and shaker oil. The end result is a unique and adorable shaker that you can use for various purposes. Whether you want to make keychains, jewelry, or decorative pieces, resin shakers are a fun and creative way to express your artistic side.
Before delving more into resin shakers and how to make them, it is good to know that you can make two types of resin shakers - dry resin shakers or liquid resin shakers. The only difference between a dry resin shaker and a liquid resin shaker is that liquid (baby oil or shaker liquid) is added to the shaker to create a liquid shaker. The resin shaker shown in the video below is an example of a liquid shaker.

To make a resin shaker you will need the following craft supplies:

Step 2: Add pigments and /or glitter to resin and mix well.

Step 5: De-mold the resin from the mold.
You now have a resin bezel that will serve as you shaker base.
Step 6: This is the time to add glitter, charms or other desired embellishments into your shaker charm. Place the embellishments into the middle of the bezel.
Step 7: Line the outer wall of the bezel with a small amount of resin and place the shaker lid on top.
Tip: Use UV resin here to speed up the process.
Step 8: Wait for the resin to cure.
Stop here if you want to create a dry shaker. If you want t create a liquid shaker, proceed to Step 9.
Step 9: Drill a hole at the top center of the shaker.
Step 10: Fill the shaker with baby oil using the hole you have just drilled.
Step 11: Seal the hole with epoxy resin or UV resin.
The liquid resin shaker is complete when the seal is completely cured.
Tip: If you're using the shaker as a charm or pendant, place an eye screw into the hole along with some resin to seal the hole instead of just resin as explained in Step 11.

I will be going through the process on how to make your own poker chips. Keep reading if you're interested in making your own set.
The supplies needed for this project are as follows:
There are two ways to go for painting the detail on the poker chips. The first option is to paint the detail on the mold (as shown in the photo below) prior to pouring resin into the mold. Alternatively, the second option is to paint the detail after the chips are out of the mold.
Option 1: Start by paining the detail on the silicone mold using black acrylic paint and a thin paint brush (or silicone tool). When finished, wait for the paint to fully dry and then pour the resin into the mold.
Option 2: Pour your colored resin into the mold and wait for the resin to cure. De-mold the poker chips from the mold when the resin has fully cured, and then proceed to paint the detail using black acrylic paint and a thin paint brush (or silicone tool).
Note: Each cavity (poker chip) uses up around 4 ml of epoxy resin. Keep this in mind when preparing and mixing your resin.
Start by deciding which method you will be using for painting the detail, along with the colors that you'd like for your poker chip set. It's also a good idea to plan the ratio of the colors beforehand and to keep a note of this easily accessible for future reference. This helps to easily plan each pour accordingly.
Once all the planning is complete, you can start making the poker chips.
Step 1: Paint the detail and wait for the paint to dry (if choosing Option 1)
Step 2: Prepare and mix resin
Step 3: Add pigment to resin and mix well
Step 4: Pour the colored resin mixture into the silicone mold
Step 5: Wait for the resin to cure
Step 6: De-mold the poker chips from the silicone mold
Step 7: Paint the detail (if choosing Option 2)
Repeat the steps as necessary until you achieve the desired set.
Finally don't forget to add the values to your poker chips by painting them on or you can also use stickers.

Unleash your creativity and make your own stunning and one-of-a-kind spider epoxy resin coaster with our step-by-step Resin Tutorial! This fun project is guaranteed to add a touch of spookiness to any room and make the perfect Halloween decoration.
For this project you will need the following craft supplies:
We'll be casting the coaster into 4 layers. The first layer will consist of a purple resin mix which is poured into the outer edge of the coaster. The second layer will be clear and will serve as a base for hand painting the large spider. We'll then embed the confetti into the third layer of (clear) resin. Three shades of purple resin mixtures are then poured into the fourth and final layer.

Step 1: Prepare and mix resin - follow instructions included with your resin for measuring and mixing.
Step 2: To your resin add grape alcohol ink, purple alcohol ink and iridescent lilac glitter. Mix well.
Step 3: Pour the resin mixture into the outer rim section of the coaster mold.
Step 4: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 5: Prepare and mix resin.
Step 6: Pour a thin layer of the clear resin into the silicone mold.
Step 7: Wait for the resin to cure.
Note: For the next part we'll be painting a spider onto the resin. You can use stencils for painting on the large spider. Alternatively you can freehand paint it. The following steps apply whether you choose to use a stencil or not.
Step 8: Use white acrylic paint for drawing the spider's eyes.
Step 9: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 10: Use a permanent marker to create an outline for the spider.
Step 11: Remove the stencil (if using one), and draw the spider using black acrylic paint.
Note: It's important to cover the marker lines with acrylic paint as the resin will eat at the marker paint and will destroy your painting. If you want to learn more about this, click here for more information.
Step 12: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 13: Prepare and mix resin.
Step 14: Pour a thin layer of clear resin into the silicone mold.
Step 15: Embed the cobweb and spider confetti into the clear layer of resin.
Step 16: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 17: Prepare and mix resin.
Step 18: Divide the resin into 3 mixing cups.
Step 19: Add purple alcohol ink and iridescent purple glitter to one of the cups.
Step 20: Add violet alcohol ink and iridescent white cellophane flakes to another cup.
Step 21: Add violet alcohol ink and iridescent lilac glitter to the remaining cup.
Step 22: Mix each cup well.
Step 23: Pour the resin mixtures into the mold. Fill the mold all the way through.
Step 24: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 25: Remove the coaster from the silicone mold.

Step 5: To the remaining cup add orange resin pigment and iridescent white cellophane flakes. Mix well.
Note: make this orange resin mixture darker than the one created in step 3.
Step 6: Start by pouring the darker orange resin mixture at both ends of the silicone mold.
Step 7: Pour the black resin mixture in the middle of the mold.
Step 8: Pour the lighter orange resin mixture.
Step 9: Wait for the resin to fully cure.
Step 10: Remove the resin from the silicone mold.
Step 11: Drill two holes at the top of the resin piece.
Step 12: Place an eye screw into each hole.
Step 13: Paint the cobweb engraving using white acrylic paint.
Step 14: Use black acrylic paint to paint the wording and spider engraving.
Step 15: Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 16: Clean excess paint from the surface of the resin using rubbing alcohol or surgical spirit and a cotton swab.
Step 17: Add a jump ring to each eye screw.

Step 3: Divide the remaining resin into 2 mixing cups.
Step 4: To one mixing cup add golden pearl resin pigment.
Step 5: To the other mixing cup add bronze pearl resin pigment.
Step 6: Mix each cup well for approximately 2-3 minutes, making sure that the pigment is evenly and thoroughly distributed into the resin.
Step 7: Pour the resin mixtures into the base part of the shaker mold.
Step 8: Wait for the resin to completely cure (approximately 24 hours unless otherwise stated in the resin instructions of the brand you are using.
Step 9: Remove the shaker lid from the silicone mold.
Step 10: Remove the shaker base from the silicone mold.
Step 11: Place the shaker inserts into the base part of the shaker.
Step 12: Prepare and mix some resin .
Note: you will only need a small amount to secure the lid to the base.
Step 13: Place small amounts of resin onto the edge of the base part of the shaker. Distribute a thin layer of resin evenly all over the edge.
Note: Do not add too much, otherwise it will spill out when securing the lid.
Step 14: Gently place the lid onto the base. Press gently and evenly on the edges to ensure that the lid is securely placed and to remove any air pockets.
Step 15: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 16: To turn the shaker into a key chain, drill a hole and add your findings.
Note + Tip: if you prefer to make a liquid shaker, add in the oil after you drill the hole and secure the eye screw with some resin to avoid leakages.

It is designed to be fun, simple and easy, making it suitable for beginners and experts alike.
For this project you will need the following craft supplies:

Step 1: Prepare resin as per brand instructions. Make sure to mix well.
Step 2: To the resin add white pearl resin pigment, iridescent white fine glitter and iridescent white cellophane flakes.
Step 3: Mix the white resin mixture thoroughly for around 2-3 minutes, ensuring that the pigment has been evenly distributed.
Step 4: Fill the rainbow silicone mold with the white resin mixture until it's completely filled.
Step 5: Allow the resin to cure for approximately 24 hours, unless otherwise specified by the instructions of the resin brand you are using.
Step 6: After the resin has completely cured, remove the rainbow from the silicone mold.
Step 7: Mix and prepare some resin and divide it into 3 mixing cups.
Step 8: Add purple pigment to the first cup, blue pigment to the second cup, and green pigment to the third cup.
Step 9: Mix each cup well for approximately 2-3 minutes, making sure that the pigment has been evenly and thoroughly distributed into the resin.
Step 10: Start by pouring the purple resin mixture into the outer layer of the rainbow. Then pour the blue resin mixture into the middle section, and the green resin mixture into the inner most (and final) layer.
Make sure to add the resin slowly, and add small amounts as needed to avoid an over-spill. If you need some guidance for this step, watch the video linked above.
Fill these cavities all the way through - this will be the final layer added to the rainbow, unless you prefer to finish yours off with a doming layer.
Step 11: Use the rest of the resin to make the cloud, raindrop and lightning bolt. You will only require one of each shape for this project. I opted for a purple cloud, blue raindrop and green lightning bolt.
Make sure the pieces are thick enough for a hole to be drilled at the top (if you choose not to fill the mold completely).
Step 12: Allow the resin to completely cure for approximately 24 hours, unless otherwise specified by the instructions of the resin brand you are using.
Step 13: When the resin has fully cured, it's time to admire your lovely rainbow creation 😊 and to de-mold the cloud, raindrop and lightning bolt from the mold.
Step 14: Plan out the placement of the charms in alignment to the rainbow, and arrange the charms in a way that aligns with the colors of the rainbow as shown in the photo below.
Step 15: Drill a hole at the top of each charm, including the rainbow. Then drill 3 holes at the bottom of each rainbow.
Step 16: Add eye screws to each hole.
Step 17: Add a jump ring and ball key chain/ string to the eye screw at the top of the rainbow.
Step 18: Add a jump ring to each eye screw of the cloud, raindrop and lightning bolt. Then attach each charm to the eye screws at the bottom of the rainbow.

Step 5: To the third cup add violet pigment.
Step 6: Mix each cup of resin well making sure that the pigment has been thoroughly and evenly distributed into the resin to avoid issues during the resin curing process.
Step 7: Pour the resin into the spaceship silicone mold: pour the green resin mixture at one end of the spaceship, the purple resin mixture at the other end, and the blue resin mixture at the middle section. Only fill the base outline of the spaceship at this stage.
Pour the purple resin mixture into the moon cavity.
Pour the blue resin mixture into the star cavity.
Pour the green resin mixture into the alien head cavity.
Step 8: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 9: Prepare and mix some resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 10: To the resin add holographic gold chunky glitter, holographic gold fine glitter and metallic blue fine glitter. Mix well.
Step 11: Pour the glittery resin mixture into the silicone mold, filling the mold all the way.
Step 12: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 13: When the resin has fully cured, de-mold all of the resin pieces from the silicone mold.
Step 14: Drill holes to the resin pieces as follows: 1 hole at the top of the spaceship and 3 holes at the bottom of the spaceship. Drill 1 hole at the top of the moon, alien and star.
Step 15: Into each hole add an eye screw.
Step 16: To the eye screw at the top of the spaceship add a jump ring and the ball chain.
Step 17: To the moon, alien and star add a jump ring.
Step 18: Attach the moon, alien and star to the eye screws found at the bottom of the spaceship.
