Instructions
Step 1: Prepare and mix resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 2: Pour a thin even layer of clear resin into the silicone mold. Do not fill the mold more than half way at this stage.
Step 3: Sprinkle heart confetti onto the resin and adjust placement of the hearts (if needed) using a stir stick.
Step 4: Sprinkle cellophane flakes onto the resin.
Step 5: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 6: Prepare and mix resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 7: Divide the resin into two mixing cups.
Step 8: To one mixing cup add pink alcohol ink, pink pearlescent pigment and white/cream alcohol ink.
Step 9: To the other mixing cup add purple pearlescent pigment and white/cream alcohol ink.
Step 10: Mix each cup well, making sure that the pigment has been thoroughly and evenly distributed into the resin to avoid curing issues.
Step 11: Pour the resin mixtures into the silicone mold. Fill the mold all the way at this stage.
Step 12: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 13: When the resin has fully cured, de-mold the resin from the silicone mold.
Note: If you are using the latest version of this mold, your piece will come out shiny right out of the mold. In this case skip ahead to Step 17.
Step 14: Mix and prepare resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 15: Dome the cat head by pouring small amounts of clear resin onto the resin piece. Gently move the resin towards the edges using a stir stick. Add more resin a tiny bit at a time as needed. Make sure that you work on a level surface.
Step 16: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 17: Drill a hole at the top of the cat head.
Step 18: To the hole add the eye screw.
Step 19: Add the jump ring to the eye screw.
Step 20: Thread the beads and ball chain into the jump ring. Place one bead on each side of the jump ring - start by adding one candy bead to the ball chain, then thread the ball chain into the jump ring and finally add the other bead to the chain.
