Resin Tutorial: How to make your own candle holder

This project is super easy to make, making it an ideal project for beginners and experience resin crafters alike. It's also a great way to create your own customized candle holders to decorate your living space to your style and liking.

My inspiration for this project was the starry night sky. Feel free to use whatever supplies you have available or based on your inspiration.

The supplies used for this project are:

  • Epoxy resin
  • Mixing cups
  • Stir sticks
  • Coaster Silicone Mold
  • Blue resin dye
  • Clover resin dye
  • Gold hollow star confetti
  • Iridescent white cellophane flakes
  • Holographic gold fine glitter
  • Iridescent chunky blue glitter
  • Iridescent blue fine glitter
  • Iridescent green fine glitter
  • Iridescent white fine glitter
  • Maya Blue pearl pigment

I will be going through the process on how to make this step by step, but if you prefer a video tutorial, you can view the video linked below.

Step 1: Start by preparing all of your supplies.

Step 2: Prepare some epoxy resin as per brand instructions. To the resin add the blue resin dye and clover resin dye. Mix well.

Step 3: Pour the colored resin mixture into the mold, filling the mold up half way.

Step 4: Sprinkle some of the gold star confetti onto the uncured resin.

Step 5: Wait for the resin to cure.

Step 6: Prepare and mix a batch of clear resin. To your resin add the glitter and a few drops of Maya Blue pearl pigment. Mix well.

Step 7: Pour the glittery mixture into the mold, filling the mold all the way.

Step 8: Wait for the resin to cure.

Step 9: Demold the resin from your mold when it has fully cured.
