DIY Halloween Wall Decor Tutorial

If you enjoy making your own Halloween decorations I'm sure you will enjoy this project. It's simple and easy to make and you won't need to drill your resin charms if you don't want to.

For this project you will need the following supplies:

Instructions

To make the pumpkins, prepare your epoxy resin as per instructions of the brand that you are using. Then add the orange pearl pigment, iridescent white cellophane flakes and iridescent orange glitter and mix well.

Prepare glitter mix in epoxy resin to pour into the pumpkins silicone mold

Pour the resin mixture into your pumpkins silicone mold and then wait for the resin to cure.

To make the bat, pour a clear layer of epoxy resin into your bat silicone mold. Then dust on the holographic grey glitter whilst the first layer is still sticky.

Wait for the first layer to cure and then prepare your resin mixture for the second layer. To your clear resin add black pigment and black glitter and mix well. Then pour the black pigmented resin into your bat mold and wait for the resin to cure.

The ghosts are also done in 2 layers. For the first layer, pour clear resin into your ghosts silicone mold and then sprinkle on some iridescent cellophane glitter flakes. You can sprinkle the cellophane flakes right away. Then wait for the resin to cure.

For the second and final layer of the ghosts, prepare some resin and mix in white acrylic paint along with some white pearl pigment. Then pour the resin mixture into the ghosts mold and wait for the resin to cure.

Once the resin has cured, de-mold your charms from the silicone molds. You can now glaze or dome your resin pieces. I opted to dome mine with resin. I really like the dome effect and it also gives a very nice shiny finish.

demold all of your resin charms and dome them with resin

When the glaze/doming layer has dried/cured, string your charms using the jute twine string. The bat already has holes on top, so start each side from there and then string the pumpkins from their stalk and you can do the ghosts from one of their eyes.

add twine string to link all of your resin charms to make a wall hanging
