Resin Tutorial: Sea Turtle Keychain
For this project you will need the following craft supplies:
- epoxy resin
- turtle silicone mold
- mixing cups
- mixing sticks
- kiwi/green resin dye
- golden green pearlescent resin pigment
- clover resin dye
- white resin dye
- iridescent white cellophane flakes
- iridescent green fine glitter
- eye screw x1
- jump ring x1
- key ring with chain x1

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare and mix resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 2: Add kiwi/green resin dye to the resin.
Step 3: Mix well making sure that the dye is thoroughly and evenly distributed into the resin.
Step 4: Pour the green resin mixture into the outline section of the turtle silicone mold.
Step 5: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 6: Prepare and mix some resin as per manufacturer's instructions.
Step 7: To the resin add clover resin dye, golden green pearlescent resin pigment, white resin dye, iridescent green glitter and iridescent white cellophane flakes.
Step 8: Mix the resin well making sure that the pigments are evenly and thoroughly distributed.
Step 9: Pour the green glittery resin mixture into the silicone mold. Fill all of the mold.
Step 10: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 11: When the resin has fully cured, de-mold the turtle from the silicone mold.
Step 12: Prepare and mix resin.
Step 13: Dome the turtle by adding small amounts of resin on the surface. Gently move the resin towards the edges using a stir stick. Use a toothpick or pointed silicone tool for the middle section. Add more resin as needed and make sure to work on a level surface.
Step 14: Wait for the resin to cure.
Step 15: Drill a hole at the top of the turtle.
Step 16: To the hole add the eye screw,
Step 17: Add the jump ring to the eye screw.
Step 18: Add the key ring with chain to the jump ring.
