DIY Halloween resin charms - Glow in the dark
Supplies needed for this project are:
- Halloween Silhouettes Silicone Mold
- Epoxy resin
- Iridescent orange, purple and green star confetti
- Violet alcohol ink
- Mango alcohol ink
- Purple glow in the dark resin pigment dye
Instructions
Start by adding a small amount of resin into your silicone mold. You only need to add just enough to cover all around the shape. Do no add too much, as we will be adding another layer to the first part/section of the mold later on.
Then add the iridescent hollow star confetti to the uncured layer of resin.
Wait for the resin to harden.
Prepare a batch of epoxy resin and divide it into 2 mixing cups. Into one cup add 3 drops of Violet alcohol ink, and into the other cup add 4 drops of Mango alcohol ink. Mix each cup well to evenly distribute the coloring.
Pour the colored resin into the silicone mold. Be careful not to add too much - do not go beyond the first part/section of the mold.
Wait for the resin to harden.
Prepare a batch of epoxy resin and add 12 drops of the Purple glow in the dark resin pigment dye. Mix in the dye very well.
Pour the colored resin into the silicone mold. You can fill it up to the top if you'd like - feel free to make the base/back layer as thick as you prefer.
Wait for the resin to cure.
De-mold your cured resin charms from the silicone mold.
Dome the charms with resin to make them super shiny.
Wait for the doming layer to fully cure before handling to avoid getting any fingerprints on them.
When the doming layer has finished curing, your Halloween resin charms are complete. I used mine as a Halloween decoration and stuck them on a window glass using a hot glue gun.
